Tim Solinger is a career services and communications professional who owns and operates Full Sail Resume & Career Services (originally established in 2007 as Great Impressions Resume & Career Services), which serves a growing client base across the Upper Midwest and throughout the United States from its location in Stevens Point, Wis.
Although Tim assists clients with a wide variety of needs, he is especially experienced at helping individuals with making career changes, including assistance with pursuing options or "encore" careers following retirement. In addition, he is experienced at helping clients with strategies for overcoming challenges that include extended absences from the workforce and periods of underemployment as well as having held numerous jobs over a relatively short time frame.
In drawing on an extensive background in career services and marketing, Tim uses proven strategies and techniques in delivering services that range from creating resumes and cover letters to developing LinkedIn profiles to conducting interview coaching. Earlier in his career, Tim worked in writing, editing and project lead roles for organizations that include Renaissance Learning, Sentry Insurance, J.J. Keller & Associates and The University of Iowa Foundation.
As a career services provider, Tim assists clients who include new and recent graduates, members of the skilled trades, technical specialists, professionals, managers and executives across industries and employment sectors that include banking, construction, education, government, health care, hospitality, manufacturing, science and technology, and transportation and logistics.
During his career, Tim has been interviewed about resume trends and best practices by media outlets such as the Stevens Point Journal, U.S. News & World Report, WAOW-TV 9 (Wausau, Wis.), WSAW-TV 7 (Wausau) and WEAU-TV 13 (Eau Claire, Wis.). He is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a B.A. degree in English, and he earned a secondary language arts teaching certification following the completion of two years of graduate school coursework at the UI in English education.
Tim has created and presented seminars, workshops and instructional programs on resume and cover letter writing, LinkedIn profile development, and interviewing at several college campuses. In addition, he has presented public seminars on these topics at a number of communities across Wisconsin.
Tim is a Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW) through the Professional Association of Resume Writers & Career Coaches. In addition, he is an approved career services provider with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
