Stevens Point, WI – Great Impressions Resume & Career Services, LLC, has changed its name to Mariner Career Services, LLC, the firm announced.
According to Tim Solinger, the company’s owner and operator, the new, streamlined brand name reflects a gradual change with the business that has seen its scope evolve beyond its core services of primarily resumes, cover letters and LinkedIn profiles since its initial launching in 2007.
In addition to offering extended career consulting to clients with needs that include career changes, Mariner will be offering career support assistance to individuals seeking to improve their ability to perform their jobs more effectively.
“Compared to decades ago, people today are taking more direct responsibility for their career development and are also experiencing more varied career paths,” Solinger notes. “Careers today can involve different sequences and segments, such as performing contract work, taking time off for more education or other purposes, starting a business, and later reengaging in regular permanent employment in a full-time or part-time role.”
As a result of these different paths and needs associated with them, Solinger has added career support assistance to the firm’s offerings to help individuals with tasks such as developing customer correspondence, sales communications, training information, process documentation, proposals, articles, reports and presentations.
Solinger has more than 20 years of combined experience in career services, marketing and communications. He is a Certified Professional Resume Writer with the Professional Association of Resume Writers & Career Coaches and is an approved career services provider with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
